Michael Harris' Precious coffee moments: featuring Gesha Village

Indulge in the unparalleled elegance of Gesha Village Lot 18, a honey-processed coffee masterpiece from the iconic Gesha Village Estate in Ethiopia, carefully preserved in Henry & Sons’ state-of-the-art -20°C coffee cellar.

Remember the old days before complex processing became fashionable? Do you miss coffee that highlights the true flavors of the terroir and the varietal? This is it.

Lot 18 was pulped and dried with 100% of the mucilage intact, a meticulous honey process that amplifies its natural sweetness while preserving the integrity of the varietal’s unique characteristics. This careful approach enhances the coffee’s exquisite floral notes and refined, freshly squeezed citrus fruit sweetness, showcasing the full expression of the estate’s remarkable terroir. Perfectly aged to elevate its complexity, this coffee delivers a pure and authentic sensory journey, embodying the essence of Ethiopian coffee heritage at its finest.

Brewing Recommendations:

For the best experience, brew using precision methods such as pour-over or siphon method to highlight its intricate flavor profile.

Limited Release: only 20 bags

For the best experience, we recommend consuming the coffee 15 to 30 days after the roast date. This window allows the beans to reach optimal flavor development, ensuring that you enjoy the full complexity and richness of the coffee at its peak.

If the coffee reaches 45-50 days after roasting, we suggest portioning the beans into 15-20 gram servings and storing them in a cool, dry container in the freezer at -5°C to -10°C. This will help preserve the coffee’s freshness and extend its shelf life, ensuring you can continue to enjoy its remarkable flavors.
