Prodigal Coffee, Maria Nieves El Limón Geisha - Peru, washed

We are thrilled to announce Prodigal's first Peruvian coffee, Maria Nieves El Limón Geisha. This coffee is beautiful - full of ripe strawberry, orange, and a creamy taffy flavor uncommon in washed coffees. We are lucky to have this lot, and the quantity is limited. 

Coffee from El Limón has been submitted to the Peruvian Cup of Excellence competition several times, placing in the top 25 in the 2019/2020 harvest edition.

Maria Nieves and her husband work their 1.5 hectare farm together, and this is their first geisha harvest. For this lot, they selected only ripe cherries and let them ferment for 12 hours. Then they depulped the coffee and fermented it another 24 hours. After three washing stages, they dried the coffee on shaded raised beds for 20-25 days.
